We went for a birthday meal for 10 people. I chose it for the vegetarian options, way beyond the token offerings you usually get. I had the butternut squash strudel, delicious and filling. Meat eaters were also impressed. The creme brulee was just fabulous. Highly recommended.

So glad I booked as the whole place was full!! Despite this, the service was quick & efficient – staff really friendly too. The roast dinner was the best I’ve had in years – lovely fresh veg, yummy cauliflower cheese, really tasty potatoes & the beef was cooked to perfection 👌

We stayed for a night to break our journey west. The location is perfect – just off the A303, but so peaceful. Our room was lovely, and complete with Tassimo machine. We had cocktails in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Dinner was delicious, well cooked and presented – not pub grub!

The full English next day was equally good, and tastier than the breakfast at the 5 star hotel We went on to.
