We went for a birthday meal for 10 people. I chose it for the vegetarian options, way beyond the token offerings you usually get. I had the butternut squash strudel, delicious and filling. Meat eaters were also impressed. The creme brulee was just fabulous. Highly recommended.

Met friends for Sunday lunch here whilst on holiday. Two had vegetarian and two had roast chicken… Could not fault anything! Fresh vegetables, amazing roast potatoes all beautifully cooked. Lovely friendly and efficient staff. If only we lived nearby, we’d eat there frequently.

We stayed for a night to break our journey west. The location is perfect – just off the A303, but so peaceful. Our room was lovely, and complete with Tassimo machine. We had cocktails in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Dinner was delicious, well cooked and presented – not pub grub!

The full English next day was equally good, and tastier than the breakfast at the 5 star hotel We went on to.

Needed to find somewhere for dinner as we stopped en route to our holiday location. What a lovely pub! The place was buzzing, in a nice way, on a Thursday night. We hadn’t booked and luckily had the last free table.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food excellent. Would highly recommend.
