The Five Dials

We bought the Five Dials Inn in 2009 during the ‘credit crunch’. Armed with an unwavering passion for pubs and good food & drink, we moved from jobs in London and came home to set about refurbishing a closed and unloved pub. Sleepless nights and hard work were the norm in turning the dream of having our own place into a reality. Today the hard work continues, but now for very different reasons! With a small but fiercely dedicated team, ‘The Dials’ delivers as a popular village pub, busy restaurant and comfortable & friendly ‘home from home’. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

All roads lead to the Five Dials Inn!

Nestling on the leeward edge of the Blackdown Hills in South Somerset The Five Dials Inn is very close to East Devon and West Dorset, so you would find it hard to discover a better location to enjoy all the benefits the West Country has to offer.

A half hour drive will take you to Dorset's Jurrasic Coast famous for fossils, Lyme Regis and of course the legendary Broadchurch TV series filmed on location at West Bay and the dramatic cliffs along towards Burton Bradstock. The Blackdown Hills are a great place to explore for walking and wildlife with Castle Neroche Iron Age Hill Fort sitting atop a dramatic escarpment. The Somerset Levels are a fifteen minute drive away all set close to the delightful array of picturesque villages and market tows which populate this attractive corner of England. Half an hour in a westerly direction takes you across the Devon border to colourful seaside tows like Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth.
